THE Greens last night slammed Julia Gillard's signal that polluting industries would get adequate compensation in the government's carbon price scheme.Ms Gillard said yesterday a lot of good work had been done last term on assistance for affected industries to make the transition. "It is not my intention to throw all of that work out the door," she told the Ten network. But deputy Greens leader Christine Milne said, "it's worth remembering that the Greens, Professor Garnaut and the independents all took a dim view of the rent-seeking" that characterised the emissions trading scheme proposed by the Rudd government.
